Hermès' artistic director for women's ready-to-wear, Nadège Vanhée, explored the concept of constant motion in her Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Unveiled at a striking butter-yellow estate in Los Angeles, with celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Keke Palmer in attendance, the collection highlighted the multifaceted ways in which movement and feminine identity intertwine. Moving beyond the brand's renowned leather goods, Vanhée introduced a softer approach, drawing inspiration from the fluidity of dresses. She transformed Hermès' iconic silk carrés into elegant evening gowns featuring high waists and plunging necklines, alongside ethereal peplum tops in soft butter-yellow and ecru tones, weaving these gentle hues throughout the entire line.

Further emphasizing dynamism, Vanhée incorporated elements from dance attire, juxtaposing the house's signature leather craftsmanship with intricately sequined jumpsuits in vibrant jewel tones, complete with flowing pleated legs. This sense of fluidity extended to the presentation's styling, exemplified by a sheer skirt worn with a double belt—one a silk scarf providing a rare burst of pattern—layered with a sweater, an oxford shirt, and a chic topcoat, showcasing a sophisticated layering technique. Signature Hermès accessories, including Birkin and Kelly bags and equestrian-inspired boots, were integrated seamlessly, recontextualized alongside flowing silk gowns and sparkling jumpsuits to represent the diverse and adaptable woman Vanhée envisions.

The collection's color story progressed from lively shades to a more profound depth. While bold Hermès orange suits and monochrome red evening wear, matching model Karen Elson's distinctive hair, added splashes of color, the palette evolved as the show unfolded. As the golden hour light embraced Bel Air, the collection culminated in a powerful display of black ensembles, signifying a graceful transition and a timeless resolution to the dynamic presentation.

This collection not only celebrates the aesthetic appeal of high fashion but also champions the strength and versatility of women. It encourages embracing individuality and continuous evolution, reflecting a positive and forward-thinking perspective on modern identity through style.
