His illustrious career spanned various roles, including a musician, promoter, club owner, and booking agent at iconic venues like Sin-é and Pianos. He was a familiar and respected figure, deeply embedded in the city's musical fabric.

Baby's All Right: A Launchpad for Stardom

The Brooklyn venue Baby's All Right, which Jones co-founded in 2013, became a crucial springboard for countless artists. It hosted early performances by now-famous names such as SZA, Billie Eilish, and Blood Orange, solidifying its reputation as a vital hub for discovering and nurturing burgeoning musical talent.

Jones's untimely passing in June 2025 at the age of 45, after a courageous battle with cancer, left a void in the music community. BreAnn Tassone, Billy's sister, shared her profound sentiments: "Billy's unwavering dedication to music, New York, and the city's creative, courageous dreamers was immense. Even though he is no longer with us, his work is far from over." She expressed immense gratitude and excitement that his passion will live on through the foundation's beneficiaries, celebrating his legacy of connection, inspiration, and community.
